There is an email circulating and targeting Avon Sales Representatives from a party acting as an LTA representative or manager. It has been a major inconvenience and we feel it important to inform and aware individuals that may have been addressed and/or affected by any fraudulent party so that they may take preventive steps and/or action with regard to such a scam.
If you are an Avon Sales Representative and have received an email from anyone stating that they are a part of our staff, or you believe you are a victim of such email, please proceed with the following steps.
Contact the Internet Crime Complaint Center at www.ic3.gov and file a complaint about this scam.
Contact Avon at (212) 282-5000 and ask to speak with the legal department. You may also forward the fraudulent email to report.fraud@avon.com.
Contact and report the email to your email provider. Scammers often use free email addresses from popular services such as Yahoo or Gmail. If you receive a fraudulent email, please report it to them. It will alert the provider and allow them to take action, which will usually include shutting down the email account and tracking the origin of the email user.
We have made them aware of what has been going on and you should, too.
